A little while back I started using Propellerheads Reason, mainly for beta testing and sound design on Rob Papen products. While wandering through the amazing tutorials Propellerheads make, I discovered the Parsec Spectral Synthesizer. The beauty of Rack extensions is that you can directly drop them in your Rack and test them for 30 days without any limitations or other annoying stuff like noise bursts or audio drop-outs. Parsec is an amazing and very powerful Synth, it makes use of Additive Synthesis. This might sound complicated, but I assure you, this RE is so easy to use and SO inspiring! The last few months I have been doing sound design and beta testing on Rob Papen‘s Blue-II. In that period of testing I made well over 400 sounds for this new synthesiser and loved every single minute of time I spend working with it. I selected enough sounds to make 3 complete soundbanks, these are all included in the factory sounds. Some patches I kept to myself for tracks I’m currently working on and some of them got binned during the process. But no worries, there will be more OddI sounds for sure 😉
